A warm welcome to all as we gather as God's people to worship the Lord. May our worship strengthen your faith and desire to serve him who loves us with an everlasting love in Christ Jesus.

Announcements
The Fall Missions Offering received today will be divided among Virginia Mennonite Missions (35%), Mennonite Missions Network (35%), Central District (15%), and Weavers missions (15%). Weavers mission funds are dispersed by our Word & Deed Committee. Designated contributions to the first three agencies were reduced by about 20% in our current outreach budget. So this is an opportunity to make up for those reductions by giving generously to the Fall (and Spring) Missionary Offerings, which are entirely above our regular budget.

Weaver's Church as a corporate body will be pledging to support Mark & Sarah Schoenhals' service to Thailand with $2000/year using Word & Deed committee funds from the special missions offerings received twice a year. The committee is excited about the opportunity to support home-grown missionaries! Thank you to all Weaver's members who have already made personal contributions. We encourage those who have not yet to consider making a pledge to VMM as you are able.

Happy Birthday this week to: Bradley Bontrager (turns 12 today!), Melissa Fletcher, Jerry Hertzler, Harold Martin, Kurtis Blosser, Rod Gunden, and Meredith Gray (turns 4 yrs).

All men are invited to the Men's Fellowship Breakfast this Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 AM at Thomas House Restaurant. Mark Schoenhals (future missionary) and Skip Tobin (returned missionary) will share about ministry in Thailand.

In case you missed the Thai potluck, here's another opportunity to hear Mark and Sarah Schoenhals as they share about their upcoming mission work in Thailand. Also, long time missionaries to this region, Skip and Carol Tobin, will also join to give insight to what God has done and is doing there. Join us for a unique experience in Thai food and culture on Sunday, November 15th at 5:30 pm at Harrisonburg Mennonite Church. Please RSVP to Ellen Blosser at 540-435-9850 or omalley114@yahoo.com.

BE YE THANKFUL! It is once again time for our Thanksgiving Fellowship Meal! Mark your calendars now for this event that celebrates God's blessings in our lives. Nov. 22, after the Worship Service, we will enjoy the bounty that has been bestowed on us. Those partaking should bring a main dish, salad and a dessert. This will help to cover any guests attending. The Hospitality Comm. would like to thank you in advance for your help!

You are invited to celebrate with Chris Burkholder and Eliza Barnhart at a wedding reception. Please come anytime between 1:00 and 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 12th to the Burkholder Hangar. Barbecue dinner provided, along with music by Sons of the Day. Please RSVP by December 1st to Ruel and Diane Burkholder at 540-833-5555 or rburkhold@verizon.net.

On MONDAY morning, November 9, 7:30 - 9:00 in the West Dining Room (EMU), H.D. Swartzendruber will share his life-story. The current series with Brethren and Mennonites sharing their stories, is focused on "service"-in education, in mission, relief, and development. In the course of over 40 years of serving with and directing non-governmental organizations (Church World Service, World vision, and others) H.D. had relief and service assignments in 55 countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America, covering nearly all the world's hot spots. Hear this high drama account in first person.
Next month's life-narrator at the ACRS Breakfast will be Chantal Logan.

A special new collector's CD from Third Way Media includes recordings of three archival Mennonite Hour radio programs by B. Charles Hostetter and David Augsburger. The CD, Invitation: Classic Hymns of Revival and Mission, features 25 musical recordings from the original Mennonite Hour a cappella singers. For this album, compiler John Horst and Third Way Media staff researched archives of Mennonite Hour programs and chose three illustrative programs to include on a separate bonus CD which comes free with the purchase of the music CD. Sermons on the bonus CD feature the voices of speaker B. Charles Hostetter and announcer Norman Derstine from 1961 (both deceased); and speaker David Augsburger and announcer Richard Weaver from 1966 and 1971. More information, including a completing listing of the songs on the CD, is available at store.ThirdWayMedia.org or 800-999-3534. Third Way Media is a ministry of Mennonite Mission Network and all proceeds support the outreach of Third Way Media.

Weavers Girls Club invites the congregation to participate with Shoe Boxes for Samaritans Purse. Fill a shoe box with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, hard candy, and a personal note. Label it for a girl or boy age 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14, each with a $7 donation to cover shipping/handling. Return to the church foyer by Sunday, Nov. 15. We are working with Anne Marie Kauffman, daughter of Keith & Vickie Kauffman, who will then deliver the boxes to the pick-up point. There are flyers available in the foyer with instructions and labels. Another important part of packing a shoe box is your prayers for the child who will receive it. Ask God to use your gifts to reveal His love in a special way and draw the child to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. For additional info, see www.samaritanspurse.org/ezgive
